The park covers an area of over 10 hectares and was first made assessable to the public in 1991. The park is located on the site of the old Victoria Barracks. The park's highlights are its many peaceful corners and getaways, a large aviary and a modern conservatory. This is reputable the biggest park in South East Asia and is habitat to two hundred varieties of plants which are sub divided into climatic categories and sub categories. The Avery is perhaps the most arresting feature of this park. Home to a large number of birds with natural habitats designed to replicate the natural environments of the birds. Among these habitats is an impressive rainforest and the ability to tree walk
along gangways in order to see the birds at a much closer angle. Not to be missed
either when in the park is the museum. It is important wherever you go to relax
